Last week I was in Mexico as a visiting professor at a big
international post-graduate course.
My lectures
were in English and were being translated into Spanish for
the audience. The first two lectures went well.
I was introduced
for the third lecture.
As I said "good
morning ladies and gentlemen", I was interrupted by the
moderator who told me and the audience we would have to delay
the meeting for an hour.
Naturally,
I asked why.
THE TRANSLATOR
HAD GONE TO BREAKFAST!!
Wonderful!!
No fuss, no bother, no complaints.
After the translator
had eaten, he took his place at my side and we proceeded.
